Systems Administrator
This position has responsibility for system administration and maintenance of servers, desktops, printers, conference equipment, network infrastructure, operating systems, and related software. Position will serve as the primary SharePoint administrator. Position serves as a LAN point of contact assists in IT support as required.
Responsibilities:
• System administration including(Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, SharePoint, Citrix, VMWare, and Applications)
• Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.
• Performing routine audits of systems and software.
• Perform patching and upgrades of operating systems and applications
• Configures hardware, such as workstations, printers, servers, and tape devices.
• Supports server, network and desktop hardware, software and applications.
• Rolls out hardware and software to ensure optimal deployment of resources.
• Plans, implements, and supports the network and computing infrastructure plan.
• Perform user account administration including Active Directory and Group Policy
• Manages small to medium sized projects according to agreed upon budgets and schedules.
• Assists with technology planning through ongoing research.
• Troubleshoots and resolves software, operating system, and networking problems.
• Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and, when necessary, performs data recoveries.
• Develop written procedures for installation, use, and disaster recovery of network resources (including, servers, operating systems, workstations, laptops, and other network infrastructure equipment).
• Develop written instructions for use by staff and personnel using IT resources.
• Provides technical support for system users.
• Performs IT equipment installation and repair.
• Maintains equipment inventory.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years administration experience with current technology.
• Considerable (2 years) and current experience as an Administrator on a medium sized network of servers, desktop systems and communications devices using current technologies.
• Two year degree or equivalent work experience (2+ years).
• MCSA, MCSE, MCITP:SA, MCITP:EA preferred
• Must maintain active certifications.
