Special Project Quality Improvement Coordinator

This position is responsible for the coordination of contract tasks of national special projects to develop, implement, and manage quality improvement activities, training, communication, and education programs to assist Quality Improvement Organizations (QIOs), or other contractors, to work successfully with healthcare providers. Assists in the coordination of all aspects of support and technical assistance internally as well as externally related to Special Project requirements for contracts, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and non-CMS contracts.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Special Project team members and other stakeholders to identify and/or develop quality strategies, tools, literature, and quality improvement links share via website, list serves, conferences, and other venues to include monitoring of Project list serves, various media forums, and stakeholder publications.
• Coordinate trainings, conferences, and meetings for consultation, videos, and best practices identification and sharing of successful strategies in the hospital setting. Identify training needs through interaction with QIOs, and other contractors, to develop/coordinate regularly scheduled educational conference calls and web-based presentations. Position should anticipate out of state travel up to 3-4 days per quarter.
• Collaborate with Special Project team members and national topic experts to develop and disseminate project materials.
• Coordinate all aspects of contract requirements, including the completion of assignments and deliverables within all contract prescribed and internal deadlines.
• Organize and maintain tracking and reporting system of all activities. Create written documentation as required by contracts, such as monthly, quarterly, or annual reports, or other report-based deliverables.
• Provide CMS, or other project funder, with technical support and coordination in convening committees, workgroups, and face-to-face conferences associated with the project. Actively participate on workgroups and committees created to support the project.
• Establish and maintain excellent positive working relationships/communication with all OFMQ customers, internal and external.

Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree in nursing or health related field from an accredited college or university required with a post graduate degree preferred.
• Four to six years experience in a related clinical field.
