Seminars Help Nursing Homes with Key Quality Issues

Representatives from 200 Oklahoma nursing homes gained expert insight and valuable techniques for better managing chronic pain, depression, falls, restraints and pressure ulcers at seminars in Tulsa and Oklahoma City earlier this year. Attendees called the presentations “excellent” and “very relevant to the needs of my facility”. One even commented that (the seminar) “might have been the best three hours…relevant to my profession.”

Courtney H. Lyder, ND, GNP, FAAN, and Jo Taylor, BSN, MPH, spoke to over 300 directors of nursing, administrators and front-line caregivers at the February event, "Creative Approaches to Preventing Pressure Ulcers, Foiling Falls and Reducing Physical Restraints."
