Hospital Interventions QIOSC

The Hospital Interventions Quality Improvement Organization Support Center (QIOSC, pronounced kee-osk), headquartered at the Oklahoma Foundation for Medical Quality, provides Quality Improvement Organizations (QIOs) with interventions and tools to help meet quality goals in the hospital setting.

We support national quality improvement efforts in the following areas:

  • Provide interventions support for QIO Identified Participant Groups (IPGs) and statewide activities,
  • Provide support for QIOs working with Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) reporting data and doing QI in rural setting,
  • Provide support for QIOs working with CAHs on Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE), barcoding, or telehealth,
  • Provide hospital setting content for MedQIC
  • Facilitate Inpatient Community of Practice (Inpt-CoP),
  • Provide data analysis and clinical support, coordinating with the Reports QIOSC, the Hospital Reporting QIOSC, and the Measures QIOSC,
  • Provide communications support for the hospital setting,
  • Provide training and education support for the hospital setting,
  • Provide support for hospital component of the End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Breakthrough Initiatives
  • Provide national partnership support and management for Surgical Care Improvement Project (SCIP), Alliance for Cardiac Care Excellence (ACE), and other developmental work.
