Physician Office Quality Improvement

Successful implementation of health information technology is a key strategy for quality improvement in primary care. Since 2004, OFMQ has assisted hundreds of primary care physicians implement and use Electronic Health Records (EHRs) to improve efficiency, quality of care and patient safety. EHRs give physicians better access to patient information, decision support and reference data, and can help improve patient-clinician communications and optimize billing and reimbursement. Widespread adoption of EHRs has the potential to produce substantial savings to Medicare.

OFMQ’s health information technology consultants help practices implement EHR solutions. We provide expertise to analyze practice needs, redesign systems and assist with updating or streamlining clinical and administrative processes.

As a quality partner to Oklahoma health providers, we facilitate sharing of best practices and evidence-based interventions to improve preventive care.

Through the Medicare QIO program, we are partnering with a select group of primary care physians to measure and improve preventive screenings for cancer, immunizations for influenza and pneumococcal disease and cardiovascular care.

All improvers welcome:  We are inviting anyone with the will to improve healthcare to join one of our statewide learning and action networks.
