On January 5, 2011 the Gastorf Family Clinic in Durant received over $42,000 in EHR incentive checks, making it the first physician clinic in the country to receive official payments through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs.
The Oklahoma Health Care Authority presented the checks to the clinic on January 5th. Oklahoma Foundation for Medical Quality staff attended this milestone event. We congratulate the Gastorfs on this accomplishment. Click here to see more information on OHCA's website.
The Gastorf Clinic signed up to participate with OFMQHIT, a division of Oklahoma Foundation for Medical Quality in August, 2010. Our staff has worked hand in hand with this clinic through the milestones required to be eligible for the incentive dollars.
These providers taking advantage of Medicaid’s Adopt/Implement/Upgrade path have already begun to see the financial rewards, just two days after registration for the program opened to providers.
