2007 Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) Tool Kit

The toolkit is a featured section on the CMS PQRI web page and  consists of educational resources plus new measure-specific worksheets designed to walk the user step-by-step through reporting each measure.

To access the tool kit, visit www.cms.hhs.gov/PQRI and scroll down to the PQRI Tool Kit tab. The page serves as a “Read This First” Guide to the resources that are available to download.

New Educational Products

• Coding for Quality - A Handbook for PQRI Participation - This handbook is a resource provided to facilitate PQRI implementation for successful reporting.
• 2007 PQRI Code Master - This Excel spreadsheet provides a sequential list of all ICD-9-CM (I9) and CPT (r) (CPT4) codes with associated CPT II exclusion modifiers that are included in the 2007 PQRI.
• 2007 PQRI Fact Sheet - This Fact Sheet provides an overview of the 2007 Physician Quality Reporting Initiative.

To access these new and all available educational resources, visit www.cms.hhs.gov/PQRI on the CMS website and click on the Educational Resources tab. Once on the Educational Resources page, scroll down to the "Downloads" section and click on the "Coding of Quality- A Handbook for PQRI Participation", the "2008 PQRI Code Master", and the "2008 PQRI Fact Sheet" links.
