Providers working with OFMQ give better care-Stakeholder Survery, 2007

Making Health Care Better

Imagine a health care system where every patient receives the right care every time, and where providers have the tools and resources to deliver that care. At Oklahoma Foundation for Medical Quality, we spend every day working to make that health care system a reality.

Through the Medicare Quality Improvement Program, OFMQ works collaboratively with health care professionals throughout Oklahoma to improve quality, safety and efficiency in health care. Our teams of quality improvement experts work hand-in-hand with providers in virtually every health care setting to apply best practices and spread the latest scientific knowledge.

In August 2008, Medicare’s Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) program officially launched a new three-year program cycle, known as the 9th Scope of Work (SOW). The QIO program calls us to focus our work in three important national priority themes: Patient Safety, Prevention and Beneficiary Protection. Read the QIO program priorities

A select group of hospitals, nursing homes and physician practices has partnered with us to change the course of health care in Oklahoma.
