OFMQ Outperforms National Averages in Provider and Stakeholder Satisfaction

Thank you to our partners for your continued support.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regularly conducts a survey among healthcare providers and stakeholders about their awareness and opinions of Quality Improvement Organizations (QIOs) in every state. The survey specifically measures satisfaction, knowledge and value for each QIO. The 2007 results were recently released, and OFMQ’s scores indicated our partners have very positive perceptions of our organization and the work we are doing. We appreciate your participation in the survey and your candid feedback that helps us identify opportunities for improving the ways we serve you.

Some highlights from OFMQ's results are presented below:

  • 2nd highest score in the country with 96% satisfaction among physician practices we are assisting with electronic medical records implementation
  • 100% overall satisfaction among hospitals we worked with to improve heart and pneumonia care, reduce surgical infection rates and report data to CMS
  • Higher than national averages in satisfaction among nursing homes, hospitals and physician offices
  • 94% overall stakeholder satisfaction, compared to a 90% national average put OFMQ in the top 20 QIOs

We recognize an opportunity to keep you informed and raise awareness about the work we are doing and the impact and value the quality improvement program is having in our state and across the county. We will continue to do that through this newsletter, our website and the many meetings and events we participate in each year along with our partners. It is through the commitment and hard work of providers throughout Oklahoma that we are improving quality of care for all our citizens. Thank you for your continued support.
